If the Super Bowl was a real game, they would play it in real football weather. Not in subtropical climes or a dome!

When they start having the game in Green Bay or Pittsburgh, I will be more willing to watch it. As it stands…the only time I have watched it recently (and actually paid attention to it) was when the Steelers won last year. Other than that, it’s background noise.

And kindly phuck the half-time “festivities” please.

Good points, all. I read your essay and TK’s response. I’m still a sucker for the competition. And, I truly believe there are a few professional athletes left that play their respective games with pure joy. I’ll go with the biggest…Tiger Woods.

Everybody wants to make a buck and that’s never going to change. Very few people actually make money doing what they absolutely “LOVE” to do. If someone can wake up and go, “Man, I can’t wait to get to work and write up those law briefs. It should only take me about 16 hours,” more power to them. They’re lucky. This is off topic. I’ll write about this some other time.

Anyway, good post.

About American football as we call it here, I never really got into and prefer others, but I see your point quite well it almost seems as if the Superbowl has nothing to do with the rest of the year and it’s a huge gathering!
