I obviously had no idea what happened to you -- being that I've never met you face-to-face how could I? I do however understand how utterly terrifying it is to suddenly be changed so drastically. For you it was a striking and massive trauma, for me it's been quietly revealed to me over time that something's not quite right. I liken it to Jacob's Ladder -- with Tim Robbins's character believing that he's slowly going insane. My neurologist warned me that because I have no giant head-scar to speak of, the idea that I had been changed might not resonate as powerfully. I think I'm beginning to understand.
