I was blessed to have played in the Philly scene in Second Generation during Tommy Conwell’s heyday. Pretty good stuff!
Andy King assembled a group of talented “no-bodys” and did a couple of great shows billing themselves as “Curb Your Dog”
Andy was kind enough to have us open for “the Dog” during a Penn State Regatta event. A great opportunity that wouldn’t have happened without him pulling some strings.

Lawyers are not all scum as far as I am concerned. There are lawyers who are working to fix our many problems. My story is not a “sob” story. It is a sad story of what can happen when the law is abused by a sociopath with a law degree. My experience is far too common. I am not self pitying or a cry baby. I have a very good life. I do take responsibility for my self. You do not know me so cannot know if you know someone like me. I did not rip off my brother or embezzle the estate. I am a victim of my brother and his lawyer. I wrote the entry that you are responding to in 2009. Since that time, I have heard similar stories from far too many others. I really do not care to “convince” any one that I’ve been wronged. I shared my story because it is important for people to speak up so that we might have a chance of fixing a broken justice system. It is lawyers that will fix that system. Your inability to believe that my story is true suggests that you have not been ensnared in a civil suit in the state of California. Count your blessings. If the idea of me makes you sick, it is only your idea. It does not effect me.

Give me a break!! To listen to you tell it, you are this perfectly innocent woman who problems in life are all someone else’s fault. I mean, Yeah, lawyers are ALL scum, but you’re a self pitying cry baby. Get a life, grow up and take some responsibility for yourself. I think we all know someone like you – probably ripped off your brother by embezzling from the estate, and you’ve convinced yourself that you’re the victim. Now you’re going around with this complicated sob story trying to convince a bunch of total strangers that you’ve been wronged. You make me sick.

Tasha, if the yant that you’re talking about is the same one on Angelina Jolie’s left shoulder then it is called the five sacred lines in english or Yant Ha Taeu (Yant Ha Taew) in thai.

PAPPA, the type of ink that is used for sak yant contains snake venom which makes it nearly impossible for diseases and viruses to survive along with the fact that I believe the monks soak the needles in alcohol or something similar as well. I’ve also never come across anything on the internet about someone actually having contracted any diseases after having received a sak yant although everyone considering getting one is worried about it. Hope that helps!

I’m wondering if you can get multiple yants in the same sitting as well as if I can get one on my lower back (same place as Angelina’s) or if I’ll have to go somewhere else other than Wat Bang Phra. Along with that, I’ve looked up many sak yant tattoos and some of them are actually blue! Are the tattoos given at the wat the traditional black or are some of them this blue nonsense?

Same question as Estelle, can women get a sak yant at the temple? I know in some cultures that would be like an extreme taboo and I’m really not looking to offend monks at a sacred temple. Also, just out of curiosity, has anyone contracted HIV from getting a sak yant at the temple that you know of? I’m not all that worried about anything else concerned with getting a sak yant since this practice has been around for at least 500 years, but HIV is relatively knew so I thought I’d ask.
